Nearly fifteen years ago I photographed this hare painted on a shop window in St Louis, long before I knew its bronze twin would end up a short walk from my front door in Utrecht. This is my first attempt at lino cutting. I'm new to the medium and still learning how the blade wants to move and where the ink pools where it shouldn't. It's a little rough aournd the edges, but it felt right to base my first piece on a photo that had already found its way back to me once before.
